For those who haven't yet left, Manifone has prepared a little crash-course on how to save on holiday homecalls. Take 5 minutes to read and prepare, or just print it quickly and put in your bag: it can be a life-saver!

- Save with Manifone during your holidays -
- Using local Direct Numbers:
If your holiday destination is one of the following countries, you can use the local Direct Numbers or Access Number:
Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, UK, USA.
Method #1 - Calling with local SIM:
- Buy a local prepaid SIM card, and put it in your mobile phone.
- Switch your phonebook to "advanced mode", and set up some Direct Numbers in your destination country.
- Register this new prepaid number as authorized user of your Manifone account (top-right corner on first page).
- Call the newly created Direct Number using your new local prepaid phone!
Method #2 - Calling with the hotel's phone, public phone, etc:
- Notice the following infos and keep them at hand:
+ Manifone AccountID (51xxxxx)
+ Manifone PIN code (see the bottom of the Account information page)
+ Access Number in the destination country (see bottom of Phonebook page)
- Using your hotel's phone, or any public phone call the Access Number.
- Authenticate using the information you have noticed above.
- Enter the destination number, and enjoy the conversation!
In both cases the cost of the call will consist of the cost of the local call (see local operator's rates) + Manifone's International rates. The two components combined will still be a lot cheaper than calling with your mobile phone at roaming rates. - Using Mani-in:
If your holiday destination is not one of the countries listed above, or if you want to be able to receive phone calls at a fraction of roaming costs, you can use Mani-in.
With Mani-in you will be reachable on a UK or US phone number even if you're on holiday outside the country. Just log in to your client interface, and point your Mani-in number to the local phone near you:
- to your local SIM card / prepaid phone
- to your hotel's phone / room phone
- to your holiday apartment's phone
